Navi Mumbai, June 14: As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen public healthcare services, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) will inaugurate and launch several healthcare facilities and projects on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The programme will be held at the Public Hospital, Sector 10, Vashi, and will be inaugurated by Maharashtra Forest Minister Ganesh Naik. The event will be presided over by Navi Mumbai Mayor Mrs. Sujata Patil.
Members of Parliament Naresh Mhaske (Thane) and Dr. Shrikant Shinde (Kalyan), Members of the Legislative Council Niranjan Davkhare and Dnyaneshwar Mhatre, MLA Mandatai Mhatre (Belapur), and MLA Rajesh More (Kalyan Rural) will attend as chief guests. Deputy Mayor Dashrath Bhagat, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, Standing Committee Chairman Ashok Patil, House Leader Sagar Naik, Opposition Leader Vijay Chougule, and Transport Committee Chairman Vikas Zanzad will also be present, along with chairpersons of various municipal committees.
The initiative marks a significant expansion of healthcare services provided by NMMC for the benefit of citizens. Key facilities being inaugurated and commissioned include:
- Inauguration of the Dialysis Centre at Swami Vivekanand Bhavan, Sector 14, Vashi, developed through NMMC funds and the Local Area Development Fund of MLA Ganesh Naik.
- Inauguration of the MRI Centre at the Public Hospital, Sector 10, Vashi.
- Commissioning of the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).
- Launch of the Hospital Bed Availability Dashboard.
- Groundbreaking ceremony for Cardiac Care Centres (Cath Labs) at Vashi and Airoli.
- Inauguration of a Milk Bank Facility.
- Commissioning of a Modular Mortuary Facility.
- Inauguration of the Dialysis Centre at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, Sector 8, CBD Belapur.
- Inauguration of the Veterinary Hospital at Sector 24, Juinagar.
- Inauguration of the Urban Primary Health Centre at Mahape.
These projects represent a major step towards enhancing access to quality healthcare services across Navi Mumbai. The organisers, led by Health Protection and Medical Assistance Committee Chairman Dr. Jayaji Nath, Vice-Chairman Ganesh Sakpal, and committee members, have appealed to citizens to attend the programme in large numbers.
